TECHNICAL OVERVIEW

Modular two part system

The system consists of:

           A dedicated Reel Holder

            An enclosed Cable Dispensing Box

The Reel Holder supports and carries the cable reel.
The Dispensing Box provides enclosure, guidance, braking control, and rotational alignment.

This separation allows reels to be mounted independently and inserted or removed quickly without dismantling the entire unit.

Reel Support and Bearing Interface

The cable reel is mounted onto the Reel Holder using fixed spindle supports.

Dedicated bearing interfaces allow the reel to rotate smoothly under load while maintaining alignment.

The reel remains fully supported during dispensing, rewinding, transport, and storage.

This controlled support reduces instability commonly associated with loose axle bars or improvised stands.

Adjustable Braking System

An integrated braking mechanism allows controlled resistance to be applied to the reel.

The brake can be adjusted to suit:

           Reel weight

           Cable type

          Required payout resistance

This helps prevent overrun and uncontrolled spinning while maintaining smooth dispensing under pull.

Once set, the brake provides consistent control during operation.

Swivel Base Integration

Each Dispensing Box is fitted with a swivel base.

The base allows the entire unit to rotate in response to changes in cable pulling direction.

This reduces side loading at the cable exit point and helps maintain smoother payout when pulling around corners or across different areas.

The swivel base forms part of the standard operating design.

Cable Exit Guidance

The enclosure provides a defined cable exit path.

This helps reduce twist, spill-out, and uncontrolled movement as cable leaves the reel.

The guided exit improves cable management during both short pulls and longer runs.

Rewinding Mechanism

A manual crank mechanism allows cable to be rewound directly onto the reel.

      This enables Length correction

      Recovery of surplus cable

      Clean job completion

The rewinding function forms part of the controlled cable handling process rather than being an improvised add-on.

Structural Enclosure

The Cable Dispensing Box provides:

      Physical protection of the reel

      Stability during use

      Containment during transport

The enclosed format improves organisation within vehicles and on site.

Multiple units can be stacked for storage and transport efficiency.

System Scalability

Multiple Reel Holders and Dispensing Boxes can be operated together.

This allows different cable types or sizes to be dispensed simultaneously while remaining independently controlled.

The modular structure supports expansion without altering the core system design.

Tool-Free Reel Changeover

Standard purchased cable reels can be mounted and removed without specialist tools.

Pre-loaded Reel Holders can be exchanged quickly within the Dispensing Box.

This supports flexible cable selection while maintaining structural support and controlled operation.
